Buffet Consumption Overview
The Buffet Consumption module allows location users to record the consumption of finished prep recipes in environments where they are not sold individually through the register, e.g. consumed at buffets rather than depleted through Menu Mix sales, Commissary Orders or Customer Orders.
Consumption will be derived by taking a starting quantity (i.e. produced quantity or on hand quantity) and subtracting leftover and waste quantities (if any). Users may process consumption for an entire day or for a specific daypart, and will be required to select qualitative judgments for all waste quantities, to create inventory adjustments.
Users will not be able to save a transaction in progress prior to "finalizing" it and Buffet Consumption transactions cannot be edited or undone after they have been saved.
Note: Since "Consumed Qty" is a calculated value, this process cannot consume a quantity greater than the On Hand Qty. Therefore, recipe items MUST be added to inventory via Daily Prep BEFORE they can be depleted via Buffet Consumption.
