Sales Details: Sales Tax

Use the Sales Tax tab to enter sales tax data for this register & date. This tab is only accessible if the system is configured for manual entry of sales taxes. See "Sales Transactions - Related Setup" for details.

  1. Click on the Sales Tax tab.
  • All tabs are visible by default. You may not be able to edit certain tabs, based on user permissions configured in Enterprise Manager.
    To show/hide a tab, click on the Menu icon and select the Tabs option. From the pop-up menu, check to show or uncheck to hide the desired tab(s).
  1. Enter the Catering Sales Tax value, if applicable.
  2. Click the Plus (Add) icon.
  3. Select the applicable General Ledger Name from the drop-down. This drop-down lists all General Ledger accounts that have been linked to this location on the "Taxation" tab of the Location Details screen in Enterprise Manager.
  4. Select a Daypart and enter the Value.  {Note}Closed: Tax values can include up to 4 decimals, as determined by the Location's base currency.
  5. If necessary, use the Memo field to enter additional information (up to 40 characters) regarding a value. If populated via Sales Mix import, it can be edited here.
  6. Repeat steps 5-8 for each entry.
  1. Click the Disk (Save) icon to save your changes.
  2. If necessary, click the Printer (Export) icon to download and print the entries on this tab.
  3. If necessary, click on any other tab as needed to configure settings on that tab. If not, skip to the next step.
  4. When all entries have been completed for the selected register & date, click on the Totals tab to view the results.
  5. When finished, click the Disk (Save) icon, then click the X (Close) icon to exit the screen.
