Sales Details: Catering

Use the Catering Sales tab to enter catering sales information for this register & date.

  1. Click on the Catering Sales tab.
  • All tabs are visible by default. You may not be able to edit certain tabs, based on user permissions configured in Enterprise Manager.
    To show/hide a tab, click on the Menu icon and select the Tabs option. From the pop-up menu, check to show or uncheck to hide the desired tab(s).
  1. Click the Plus (Add) icon.
  2. Enter the catering sales data; key fields include:
  • Customer - Populated based on the list of Customers defined for the location in Enterprise Manager.
  • Amount - This value should always INCLUDE taxes because these values reflect the total charge to the Customer.  {Note}Closed: The number of decimals allowed (up to 4) is determined by the Location's base currency.
  • Payment Method - Options include ‘Account’, ‘AMEX’, ‘Cash’, and ‘Charge Card’.
  • If “Account” is selected, the value in the Amount field will be subtracted when calculating Book Cash.

  • The remaining 3 options are differentiated on the Catering Sales Summary report but are treated the same in sales calculations.
  • Sales Type - Options include ‘Taxable’ and ‘Exempt’.
  • If “Taxable” is selected, sales tax will either be calculated for the Amount of the sale or must be entered on the Sales Tax tab, depending on the "Tax Retrieved From" setting defined for the location in Enterprise Manager.
  • Memo - If necessary, enter additional information regarding this transaction, up to 40 characters.
  1. Repeat steps 4 & 5 for additional entries.
  2. Click the Disk (Save) icon to save your changes.
  3. If necessary, click click the Printer (Export) icon to download and print the entries on this tab.
  4. If necessary, click on any other tab as needed to configure settings on that tab. If not, skip to the next step.
  5. When all entries have been completed for the selected register & date, click on the Totals tab to view the results.
  6. When finished, click the Disk (Save) icon, then click the X (Close) icon to exit the screen.

 

Note: If necessary, you can click on a row and click the Trash Can (Delete) icon to remove it.
