Sales Details: Sales
Use the Sales tab to enter sales transactions for different parts of the day and to categorize the sales by General Ledger account. Sales values must be entered on this tab in order to appear as Actual Sales values in the Profit & Loss and Cost Analysis reports.
- Click on the Sales tab.
- All tabs are visible by default. You may not be able to edit certain tabs, based on user permissions configured in Enterprise Manager.
To show/hide a tab, click on the Menu icon and select the Tabs option. From the pop-up menu, check to show or uncheck to hide the desired tab(s).
- Select a General Ledger Name and Daypart from the drop-down. This tab contains all General Ledger accounts that are linked to the "Sales" GL Grouping, except accounts linked to the "Promo", "Beverage Promo", "Food Promo", and "Other Promo" P&L Substructures.
- In the Value field, enter the amount for each account and daypart combination.
- If necessary, use the Memo field to enter additional information (up to 40 characters) regarding a value. If populated via Sales Mix import, it can be edited here.
- Click the Disk (Save) icon to save your changes.
- Sales Total = The sum of all “Value” entries on this tab.
- Sales Discrepancy = [ Total Net Sales – “Sales Total” ] + the sum of all “Value” entries on the Comps & Discounts tab.
This value must = "$0.00" before you can exit the screen.
- If necessary, click the Printer (Export) icon to download and print the entries on this tab.
- If necessary, click on any other tab as needed to configure settings on that tab. If not, skip to the next step.
- When all entries have been completed for the selected register & date, click on the Totals tab to view the results.
- When finished, click the Disk (Save) icon, then click the X (Close) icon to exit the screen.
