The Prep Notes tab is used to enter preparation instructions and notes for the recipe, and includes the following fields. These instructions will appear in Net-Chef on the Recipe Card report, and on the Scale Recipes report available from the Production menu and the Daily Prep screen.
- Under the Products menu, select Recipe.
- To edit a recipe record, click on the Recipe Name hyperlink.
- All tabs are visible by default. To show/hide a tab, click on the Menu icon and select the Tabs option.
From the pop-up menu, check to show or uncheck to hide the desired tab(s).
- Click on the Prep Notes tab.
- Configure the desired settings on this tab as noted below.
- Video Link and Audio Link options – Can be used to upload files with video or audio instructions respectively.
- Preparation Instructions – Enter the steps required to create the recipe.
- Plating Instructions – Indicate how each portion of the recipe should be served to the guest.
- To add a Recipe Image, click the Browse button and browse to locate and add an image file. The image must be in JPEG (.jpeg or .jpg) format with a maximum size of 512 x 352.
- Click the Disk (Save) icon to save your changes.
- To download and print these settings, click the Printer (Export) icon and select the desired options. {Note}
- If necessary, click on any other tab as needed to configure settings on that tab. If not, skip to the next step.
- When finished, click the X (Close) icon to return to the summary screen.
