  3. In the Week Ending column, click on the desired week ending date to open the Sales Forecast detail screen.
  4. For each day of the week, a summary of the day's Weather data (from the widget) will be displayed at the top of the column. This will help managers decide what each day's forecasts should be.  {Note}:Closed  Temperatures will be displayed in Fahrenheit in the US and Celsius everywhere else. If the Sales Forecast includes past or future days that are not within the time frame for available weather data, the screen will display "Weather Unavailable" in the relevant column(s).
  5. For each day of the week, the values for Total Forecasted Sales, Total Forecasted Guests, and Total Forecasted Checks (if visible) will be pre-populated based on the "Default based on" setting selected in the Recommended Order Setup screen. You can modify these values as follows:
  • Enter the desired values in these fields manually.
  • Scale the Forecasted values up or down. Simply check the box in the header of one or more columns (or check the "Week Ending" column to select all), enter a value in the field, then click Scale Values by. For example, to forecast a 10% increase, scale the amounts by 110%.
  • Under Historical and Projected Data, an "Auto-Fill" command button will appear to the right of each label for the Reference Data calculations when data exists for them. You can click this button to overwrite the forecast data for each day with the values from that row.
  • You can enter your forecasts in Hourly or 15 Minute increments, based on the "Incremental Sales" setting in Recommended Order Setup screen.  {Note}:Closed  After exiting that screen, the "Incremental Data" box for the selected day(s) will be checked here in the detail screen. If necessary, you can uncheck this box to update the Forecast values at the Day level, which will update the data at the incremental level when saved.
  1. In the Daypart Forecast section, users can also click the [>] (Expand) control and enter the Forecasted Sales By Daypart, Forecasted Guests By Daypart, and Forecasted Checks By Daypart for each day of the week. For each day, the sum of these fields for each day will be displayed as the calculated "Forecasted Sales/Guests/Checks by Daypart". These values should equal the Total Forecasted values for that day; any discrepancy will appear as the "Difference".
  • You may enter Forecasts by Daypart & Revenue Center.
  • Any change to the Forecasted Sales/Guest/Checks will automatically recalculate and redistribute across Dayparts.
