Assigning Employee Pay Rates at a Wage Matrix Location

For locations based in Australia, the Wage Matrix functionality utilizes a list of job levels to define wage rates that hourly employees can be paid. A location must be associated with a wage matrix (in Enterprise Manager), and then employees at that location must be linked to a job level/age combination within the matrix.

If an employee is allowed to work at multiple locations, the pay rates for the wage matrix associated with the employee’s primary location will be applied to shifts worked at any alternate locations.

The instructions in this section are specific to the assignment of wage matrix rates only and do not include the details required to complete data entry for all fields on the specified tabs.

Click one of the following links to see rate assignment instructions as follows:

  • On the Employee tab, for new employees.
  • On the Positions tab, for existing employees.
  • On the Reviews tab, for performance evaluations.

Note: If an employee has a birthday that would precipitate a rate change, Net-Chef automatically updates the employee’s rate to that of the next age range for the same job level.
