On the Employee tab

Wage Matrix rates will be selected for new employees on the Employee tab. 

 

Note: These instructions are specific to the assignment of wage matrix rates only and do not include the details required to complete data entry for all fields on this tab.

 

  1. The employee’s Date of Birth must be entered first. The application needs this to calculate the employee’s age in order to determine which job level/age combinations should be available for selection.
  2. Click the Pay Type drop-down and select 'Hourly'.  The Primary Position pop-up window will open.
  3. To assign a rate, click the ellipsis […] button to the right of the "Rate" field to open another pop-up window.
  4. In this window, click the button in the Select column for the appropriate Job Level/Age combination to assign the rate(s) for the employee’s primary position.  {Note}Closed: Employees may be associated with a Job Level for any age greater than their own age.
  5. Click Submit to apply the corresponding rate(s) and close this pop-up.
  6. The selected rate will now be displayed in the Primary Position pop-up but cannot be edited there.
