Company Product Details: Alternate UPCs
On the Alternate UPCs tab, authorized users can enter, activate, deactivate, or delete one or more UPCs for the product. This allows the system to identify different UPC codes for the same item from different countries. If the Inventory Preference to "Validate Company Product and Recipe UPC values are unique" is enabled, this screen will validate newly entered UPC values against all other UPC values stored in the database when the user clicks "Save".
The value(s) entered here will be used to validate the UPC code scanned using the Inventory mobile app.
- Under the Products menu, click Company Products.
- To edit a product record, click on the Product Name hyperlink.
- All tabs are visible by default. To show/hide a tab, click on the Menu icon and select the Tabs option. From the pop-up menu, check to show or uncheck to hide the desired tab(s).
- Click on the Alternate UPCs tab.
- Click the Plus (Add) icon.
- Enter a UPC value.
- The entry will be Active (checked) by default; clear this check box if it should not be active.
- Click the Disk (Save) icon to save your changes.
- To download and print these settings, click the Printer (Export) icon and select the desired options.
- If necessary, click on any other tab as needed to configure settings on that tab. If not, skip to the next step.
- When finished, click the X (Close) icon to return to the summary screen.
If necessary, you can click on a row and click the Trash Can (Delete) icon to remove it.
