The Net-Chef Dashboard

The Net-Chef Dashboard is the first screen users see after logging in. The screen is divided into topical menus for Purchasing, Inventory, Sales, Production, Labor, Reports, and Administration. Each of these menus displays options for the transactions and reports that are related to the selected topic. Each menu also has an “Overview” option which, when selected, displays a page with sections showing the related recent transactions.   {Notes}: The location's local time (based on the Time Zone defined for the location in Enterprise Manager) is used as the date/time for transactions that drive the Performance Metrics and Today's Tasks displayed on the Dashboard. The Consolidated view of the Dashboard displays monetary values in the Company base currency.

The Net-Chef Dashboard allows managers to see up-to-date information concerning the location’s operations. Store-level application users will see information for their own location. For application users linked to an hierarchy level designated for "Consolidated Dashboard" access, the application will display consolidated information for all of the locations linked to the user’s hierarchy.  Users can toggle between the current week or previous week, and consolidated users can choose a consolidated view for either week by clicking the Weekly Snapshot selector arrow and choosing a view.

The Dashboard layout is divided into several rows and/or sections. The default layout can be configured by Corporate but authorized Net-Chef users will be allowed to define their own layout. Two sections which are a required part of any layout and cannot be removed are the “Performance Metrics” and the “Today’s Tasks” list. Based on corporate configurations, some performance metrics may be pre-defined for all users while others can be selected by each user. The list of “Today’s Tasks” may include tasks defined on Staffing Templates.

All Dashboard values are recalculated automatically once per day. Consolidated Dashboard users linked to the "Corporate" level of the hierarchy can click the Recalculate Dashboard control to do this as needed. If another user has recently done this, a message will appear offering the current user the option to use the last set of recalculated values.

Search Field, User Menu & Header Controls

The Search field, the Other Applications and Help icons, the User menu, the Location selector , and the Log Out icon appear in the header and are visible from every Net-Chef screen.  

• In the Search field, start entering the name of the Net-Chef screen you want to locate. The field will dynamically present a list of options based on your entry. You can select an option to open that screen without having to locate it on one of the pop-out menus.
• The Inventory Assistant (Butler & Plate) icon displays a chat window to ask Net-Chef about the following topics regarding your Crunchtime data - Current Inventory levels, Physical Inventory counts, Inventory & Recipe Adjustments, Inventory Value Adjustments, and Company Product details.  Be Aware: Your organization has a monthly cap of AI tokens to spend. • Be direct and specific: State your exact goal and name specific products without being wordy; drop filler words and pleasantries.
  • Instead of asking – "Hello, how much chicken do I have on-hand?"
  • Ask this – "How many chicken thighs do I have on-hand?"
• Set output limits: Tell the assistant how long you would like your answer to be or limit responses to specific periods in time.
  • Instead of saying – "Show me a list of all prep waste adjustments."
  • Say this – "Give me a summary of all prep waste adjustments in under 3 sentences."

• The Other Crunchtime Applications (Squares) icon allows you to navigate to Teamworx, TalentLink, and/or Insights (all as accessible) using the single sign-on functionality (i.e. you will not have to re-enter your user name and password to log in).
• The s (Help) icon will display a menu containing the "Learning Center", "Show Me How", "Support Center", and "Chat With Us" options. For details about each, click HERE.

• Learning Center – Displays the panel containing our interactive e-learning lessons.
• Show Me How – Displays the menu listing our guided walk-thrus for a variety of tasks available to the logged in user.
• Support Center – Displays the online repository of Help topics. Opens to the Help topic for the screen you are on but includes a Search bar and Table of Contents panel to help you find any desired topic.
• Chat With Us - Displays a chat window to ask our Support Team virtual assistant about using Crunchtime products, troubleshooting issues, or understanding company policies and procedures.

• The down-arrow ( v ) to the right of the User Name displays the following options potentially available, based on those enabled for your user group:

• Use Change Language to select either English or any other language Includes: Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Taiwan), French Canadian, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish (Latin American), and Turkish enabled in your database.  (These options also appear on the initial login screen.)  
• Use Change Password to change your password for logging in to the Crunchtime applications.
• Use the Daily E-Mail Alert Preferences to configure the email alerts you want to receive
• Use the Daily News options to display messages configured to be available for your location.
• About Net-Chef will display a pop-up showing the release Version and links to our Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use.

• The Location selector lets you choose another location to log in to (if allowed).
• The Light Bulb icon will display the "Recommended Actions" panel, which shows alerts based on setup configured in Enterprise Manager. 

	Default Forecasting Method: Advises users to change the default forecasting method when another method is calculated to be more accurate.  Define additional parameters for "Threshold %" and "Forecasting Method".  {Example}: If "Threshold %" = '5' and "Forecasting Method" = 'Sales', when the "Total Sales" of a forecasting method is 5% or more accurate than the default system forecast method over a 6-week period, users in the selected User Groups & Locations will see an alert recommending a change to the default method. This is determined by the "Default Based On" preference; see Recommended Order Preferences for details on that setting. Prompt: If there is no current active recommendation, after an inventory period is posted, and if based on the last 6 posted periods another method would yield a more accurate result. Related Requirements: The location must have a forecast defined for at least one future period, and the "Preferences > Save" User Group control must be enabled.
	Employee Availability: Indicates when active, hourly employees haven't been scheduled within the last 4 weeks.  Define additional parameter for "Future Schedule Check" to look beyond the current week's schedule. Prompt: Once per week, after a labor period is posted. Related Requirements: Use of Teamworx, and the location must have a schedule defined for at least one future period.
	Forecast Change: Advises users to change their sales forecast when it varies from the AI Forecast by more than the specified percentage.  Define additional parameters for "Threshold %" and "Forecasting Method" ('Sales', 'Guests', or 'Checks').   {Example}: If "Threshold %" = '5' and "Forecasting Method" = 'Sales', when the AI Forecast for a reviewed week varies by more than 5% from "Total Forecasted Sales", users in the selected User Groups & Locations will see an alert recommending a change to the forecast. Prompt: Once per week, after AI generates a new sales forecast for the location, and if there is no current active recommendation. Related Requirements: The location must have a forecast defined for at least one future period, the sales forecasting “Default based on” setting must be ‘AI Forecast’, and the "NC-Administrative Options > Sales Forecasting" and "NC-Sales Forecasting > Update/Save" user group controls must be enabled.
	Frequent Shift Swaps: Indicates when employees have been declining shifts or asking for swaps too often within the last 4 weeks. Prompt:  Once per week, after a labor period is posted, and at least one employee requested 4 or more swaps each week. Related Requirement: Use of Teamworx.
	Labor Hours Variance: Indicates when the variance between Actual and Earned Hours exceeds the specified percentage. Define additional parameter for "Variance Threshold %". Prompt:  Once per week, after a labor period is posted. Related Requirements: Use of Teamworx, the period has completed shifts, and Earned Hours were calculated for the period.
	Significant Price Change: Indicates when the Inventory Cost of an item varies from the previous cost by more than the specified percentage.  Define additional parameter for "Price Change Threshold %". Prompt: After a vendor order is reconciled with a variance that exceeds the defined threshold. Related Requirement: The "NC-Other Store Tasks > View/Edit Recent Vendor Order" user group control must be enabled.
	Weather Events: Indicates impending severe weather that might have a significant impact on your business. Prompt: Appears daily at 06:00 UTC. Related Requirement: The location must have a defined Zip code OR City & Country.

• The [ -> (Log Out) icon will exit the session when you are finished using Net-Chef.
