Screen Controls and Icons

The following control icons are available on the Dashboard and (some) on many other screens:

  • Gear (Configure Widget) – When editing the layout, this allows you to select the widget displayed in a given Dashboard segment.
  • Sliders (Change Parameters) – When editing the layout, this allows you to define specific parameters for data to be displayed in the widget.
  • Plus (Add, Add/Remove, Select) – The functionality of this icon is different depending where it is displayed. It is used to create a new record or transaction, add or remove items to/from the Dashboard, or select items to display in a widget.
  • Funnel (Filters) – Used to define parameters for filtering the screen/widget.
  • Printer (Export) – Used to define parameters for saving transaction data to PDF, Excel, or CSV files.
  • <--> , -><- (Maximize/Minimize) – This will maximize the corresponding section to fill the screen or reduce it back to its normal size.
  • ^ , v (Expand/Collapse) – This will show or hide the relevant section
  • P (Recalculate Dashboard) – Consolidated Dashboard users linked to the "Corporate" level of a hierarchy will see and can click this icon to trigger recalculation "on the fly"
  • Show Legend (not shown above) – This will display legend information for charts or graphs. You can even click on individual elements within the legend to show/hide the selected value within the chart or graph.
  • Column Selector (not shown above) – Hovering the mouse over a column header will display a column selector arrow. When clicked, this will display a pop-up menu with options to show/hide the table columns, sort the selected column in ascending or descending order, and/or reset the table columns to the default view.  (A column can also be sorted by clicking on the header itself.

  • Pagination Controls – These are displayed in the lower left corner of the screen, where applicable. These controls enable you to select the First Page [|<], Previous Page [<], enter a Page number, Next Page [>], Last Page [>|], or Refresh (Circular Arrows) the transaction list.
