Sales Forecast Values

Total & Grand Total Forecasted Sales

Total Forecasted Sales will be displayed in the "Forecasted Sales" row at the top of the screen and again in the "Grand Total Forecasted Sales" field at the bottom of the screen.

Daily Forecasted Sales

For each day of the Labor Schedule week, the application will display the forecasted sales value for that day.

Forecast-related Labor Calculations

Ideal Hours

The total number of labor hours for which employees (at all positions) should be scheduled for each day and for the week, as determined by forecasted sales and the staffing template(s) used. The Labor Productivity reports display summarized hours and values.

Variance Hours

The Labor Productivity reports calculate the difference between the Ideal Hours and Scheduled and Actual Hours.

Daily Labor Productivity

For each day of the week, the labor schedule calculates and displays the "Labor Productivity" for that day.

This measures the average sales per labor hour required in order to meet the sales forecast for the day.

  • Daily Labor Productivity = [ Daily Forecasted Sales ÷ Daily Total Hours ]

Daily Labor Percent

For each day of the week, the labor schedule calculates and displays the "Labor Percent" for that day.

This measures the percentage of forecasted sales consumed by labor costs.

  • Daily Labor Percent = [ Daily Total "Labor" Value ÷ Daily Forecasted Sales) x 100 ]
