Entering Budget Data
- From the Administration menu, select View/Edit Budget Data.
- The Post Period defaults to the current unposted period. If the budget is for a different period, select the appropriate period from the drop-down.
- Click Retrieve. (If any exist, budget figures from the last saved period will populate the Value fields by default.)
- For each line, indicate the Budget Type ($ value or % value) by checking the box in the appropriate column.
- Enter or edit the amount in the Value field.
- Values may be entered with up to four decimal places.
- Percentages may be entered with up to two decimal places, and must be greater than zero.
- If the value is a percentage, select a General Ledger description from the drop-down in the % Of column; this appears when the box in the ‘%’ column is checked.
- When ready, click the Disk (Save) icon.
- To download and/or print the screen details, click the Printer (Export) icon; options include PDF, Excel, CSV, and CDP.
- To apply the same budget data to other Post periods, select the Apply Budget button.
- To apply the budget only to certain periods, check box to the right of those post date(s) in the Apply Budget column.
- To apply the budget to all of the post periods displayed, check box in the column header.
- When finished, click the Disk (Save) icon.
- In the confirmation message, click OK.
Note: The Apply Budget button can be used at any time to copy the existing budget to other periods.
