Labor Rules by Country
{Franchise Note}
: Franchisees will be allowed to define their own Labor Rules. Franchisors will only see their own rules.
- Under the Labor menu, click Labor Rules; click the Country tab, if necessary.
- Enter an Effective Date or select one using the calendar control.
- Click the Plus (Add) icon to add a new country or click on the row of an existing country to edit it.
- Enter/edit the Part-Time Threshold – The number of hours up to which an employee is considered part-time.
- Enter/edit the Weekly Average Hours Look-Back Period – The number of weeks to look back to determine whether an employee should be considered part-time or full-time. The average number of hours worked over this time period will be compared to the Part-Time Threshold defined above.
- If adding, select a Country from the drop-down; if editing, this field is disabled.
[Note]
Countries that appear in this list are linked to at least one active Location. If one or more active locations subsequently are linked to a country not listed here, the country will then be available to add so that labor rules can be defined for it.
- Enter/edit the Minimum Wage.
- Enter/edit the Tipped Minimum Wage.
- Click off of the row to save the entry.
