Nutrition Classes

This screen is used to define Nutrition Classes (allergens, attributes, additives, etc.) and the specific nutritional qualities within them, which can be linked to company products or recipes.

  1. Under the Products menu, click Nutrition Classes. The list of existing classes will be displayed. To define a new class, go to step 2; to edit an existing class, skip to step 7.

To define a Nutrition Class:

  1. Click the Add button.  A new row will appear.
  2. Edit the Description for the nutrition class. (This will default to "New Nutrition Class".)
  3. By default, the new class will apply to Products and Recipes. If necessary, click the radio button in the Recipes column to change this setting.
  • If the "apply to" setting = 'Products and Recipes', the nutritional qualities in this class can be linked to Company Products, and each quality will display the Company Products to which it is linked AND any Recipes that include at least one product linked to that quality.
  • If the "apply to" setting = 'Recipes', the nutritional qualities in this class can be linked to Recipes only.
  1. The row will be highlighted yellow once any change has been made.  If editing an existing row, the Undo Edits (Circular Arrow) button will reverse all entries without saving. For new rows, this will delete the row. When ready, click off of the row; it will save automatically.
  2. If necessary, click the Delete [X] button to delete a class. This can only be done if the class does not include qualities that are linked to any active products or recipes.

To add a quality to a Nutrition Class:

  1. Click on the Description hyperlink for the appropriate class. The list of existing nutritional qualities for this class will be displayed.
  1. Click the Add button.  A new row will appear.
  2. Edit the Description for the nutritional quality. (This will default to "New Nutrition Detail".)
  3. By default, the new quality will be Active; clear this check box if it should not be.
  4. When ready, click off of the row; it will save automatically.
  5. For instructions on how to link one or more Company Products or Recipes to this quality, click HERE.
  6. If necessary, click the [X] (Delete) icon to delete a quality. This can only be done if the quality is not linked to any active products or recipes.
  7. To download and print these entries, click the Printer (Export) icon and select the desired options.
  1. To return to the summary screen, click on the Nutrition Classes portion of the path in the title bar, in the upper left just below the screen header.
