Storage Locations
The Storage Locations screen lists all product storage areas for a location; they can be created manually or imported via the CDP. Each location product must be assigned to a storage location from this list before it can be purchased or issued. Storages at a location are divided between the "Central" storage system and the non-central storages that can be linked to internal customers. Central storages receive stock from vendors and issue products to customers. Non-central storages are assigned to customers that receive stock from a central storage via the customer order process.
Closing methods are selected in this screen for each product type within each storage location. Closing methods determine the behavior of the "By Exception" functionality in the Inventory module. Each storage location can also be linked to a prep station in this screen.
