Viewing the Component Product Records

Since nutrition values are stored per 100 grams of a product, these values must then be related to one of the package type Units associated with the product. This is done on the Nutrition tab in the Company Product Details screen.

In the screen above, nutrition data for the Kitchen Wine is linked to the unit of OZ FL, which is Recipe Unit 3 for this product. Note that while the nutrition data is linked to one Recipe Unit, a different Recipe Unit (CUP) was used when measuring this product for the Garlic Sauce recipe, as shown in the screen on the previous page. The nutrition data for the Kitchen Wine will be converted from OZ FL to CUP in the next step.

 

Note: It is best practice to link the nutrition data to the Inventory Unit. For illustrative purposes, this product was selected as the example specifically because it is not.
