Labor Rule Violations

The Labor Rule Violations report enables store managers to be aware of what labor rules have been violated, how many times they have been violated, and which employees are repeat offenders. The report includes violations for both Scheduled shifts and Actual shifts in order to alert managers to take action and mitigate the impact of those violations. The rule types the report captures violations for include: Clopening, Reporting Pay, Minimum Paid Shift, Split Shift, Spread of Hours, Meal Period, and Paid Break rules.

Report Controls

Labor Date Range Begin/End Date: Calendar widgets; can select any dates.

Group By: N/A (default), Employee, Rule Type

Funnel (Filters): Employee, Position, Rule Type, Violation Occurrence, Reviewed

Printer (Export): PDF, Excel, CSV formats status filter

Report Columns:

Click any column header to sort by the data in that column.

  • Date – Date for the shift the employee worked.
  • Employee – The name of the employee that worked the shift.
  • Position – The position the employee worked in.
  • Rule Type – Indicates the type of labor rule that was violated.
  • Scheduled Shift – The shift the employee was scheduled to work.
  • Actual Shift – The shift the employee actually did work.
  • Violation Occurrence – Displays 'Scheduled', 'Worked', or 'Schedule and Worked' to indicate the type of shift that incurred the violation.
  • Reviewed – Displays 'Y' or 'N' to indicate whether the violation has been reviewed.
  • Adjusted – Displays 'Y' or 'N' to indicate whether the premium was adjusted/removed.
  • Reason/Memo – Indicates whether the answer was 'Positive', 'Neutral', 'Negative", or '–' (Not Answered).
