Inventory Efficiency
The Inventory Efficiency report shows a 30-day summary of product consumption value for each location product, as well as the current on-hand value, the estimated days the current on-hand should last, and the sum of all inventory value variances. It helps managers see a snapshot of what they have and how long it’s likely to last.

Report Controls
Post Date: Drop-down; can select Post Period dates or the current date.
Group By: Category, Subcategory, Microcategory, General Ledger
Funnel (Filters): Any report column; Category, Subcategory, Microcategory, General Ledger
Printer (Export): PDF, Excel, CSV formats

Report Columns:
Click any column header to sort by the data in that column.
- Product Number – The company product number.
- Product Name – The company product name.
- On Hand Value = [ Physical Value + In Transit Value ] from the chosen posted period OR [ Current On Hand Quantity x Inventory Cost ] if for the current period.
- 30 Day Consumption Value = [ Beginning Inventory Value + Receivings Value – Ending Inventory Value – Reconciled Outgoing Transfers Value - Production Depletion Value ]
- Days on Hand = [ (On Hand ÷ 30 Day Consumption Value) x Number of Days in the 30 Day Consumption period ]; this refers to the estimated number of days it will take to deplete the current on-hand quantity, based on the year-to-date rate of consumption.
- Accumulated Inv. Variance Value - The sum of all variance values for all posted periods in the 30 Day Consumption period.
- Variance % = [ (Accumulated Inv. Variance Value ÷ 30 Day Consumption Value) x 100 ]
Note: For "Days on Hand", the number of days in the 30 Day Consumption period includes the beginning and ending date. This period must be calculated for each product, as it may be different based on how long each product has been in inventory.
