Consumption Days and the Expected Delivery Date
Consumption Days and the Expected Delivery Date are determined EITHER by Delivery Days set up in the Net-Chef Vendor Information screen, OR by Lead Period Days set up in the Enterprise Manager Vendor Details screen. Consumption Days defaults to "6" but can be edited by the user when creating a Vendor Order; the system assumes the order must cover [1 week - 1 day] since the earliest delivery is usually the next day. If Delivery Days/Lead Period are set up, Consumption Days will = Delivery Days/Lead Period + (the default of) "6"; the Expected Delivery Date reflects the date arrived at by the Consumption Days calculation.
Note: If Delivery Days are set up in Net-Chef, the Lead Period field should be left blank in Enterprise Manager, otherwise the Expected Delivery Date will not calculate correctly. In other words, either method CAN be used but both should NOT!
