Create a Master Order

  1. From the Purchasing menu, click Create Master Order.
  2. In the Create Master Order pop-up:
  1. Select the appropriate Master Order Type to determine which products to order.
  2. Edit the Delivery Date if necessary, and enter a Reference Number.
  3. Edit the number of Consumption Days, if necessary.
  4. Click Continue to open a blank order screen. Click HERE for information about the reference data displayed in this screen.
  1. If necessary, use the Search box to locate a specific product by Product # or Name, or click the Funnel (Filters) icon to access the screen filters. Click HERE for details.
  2. If any order details need to be changed, click the -><- (Show/Hide Order Info) icon to display the transaction header. If not, skip to step 5.
  • Edit the Reference Number, if necessary.
  • The product list is grouped by Category. If necessary, change the Group By setting to 'Subcategory', 'Microcategory' or no grouping.
  1. Enter the Order Quantity for each desired product. To “auto-populate” this field, authorized users may click one of the ordering shortcut buttons in the column headers. To read more about these shortcuts, click ClosedHERE.
  • Click the Use Last Order icon to order the same quantities used the last time these products were ordered.
  • Click the Use 4-Week Average icon to order the average order quantity for each product based on reconciled orders over the past 28 days.
  • Click the Use Recommended Order icon to use the recommended order quantity for each product, calculated based on the location’s Update Recommended Order Setup settings. {Note}ClosedThe Recommended Order quantity will never be negative. If the calculation results in a negative quantity, a red zero 0 will be displayed. Click HERE for more details.
  • Individual product quantities can be edited after selecting any of these options. You can quickly clear all entered order quantities by selecting the Order Actions (Gear) icon, and then choosing Zero Order Quantities.
  1. When finished, click the Review Order button.
  2. The order must be saved in one of three ways:
  • Click Save and Close to save the order without parsing it or submitting it to vendors.
  • Click Save and Parse to save the order without submitting it to vendors. The master order will be split in to individual vendor orders based on the contracts established in Enterprise Manager.
  • Click Save and Submit to parse the order into individual vendor orders. Check the box at the far right of the screen to select the order(s) for submission, then click Submit to send each order to the appropriate vendor.
  1. When finished, click Close.
