Copy a Scheduled Inventory
Users can copy scheduled inventory events created for one post period to other future post periods. This can include dates prior to that of the inventory event being copied, as long as the new date is in an open period.
Inventory events can be copied either to the same day of the week or to the same relative day within the new post period. For example, if your Post periods are consistently the same length, you would likely want to copy a Monday count from one period to the Monday in each selected period. If your Post periods vary in length, you could copy the count from the 3rd day of the period to the 3rd day in each selected period.
- From the Inventory Menu, select Create/Review Inventories.
- Select a Post Period from the drop-down list.
- Select Copy Scheduled Inventory.
- The left side of the screen lists the scheduled Physical Inventory events, one row for each Date/Type/Detail/Day combination. Check the box for the event(s) you want to copy, or check the box in the header to select them all.
- The right side of the screen lists all Post Periods available for the events to be copied. Check the box for each desired period, or check the box in the header to select them all.
- When ready, click Save and Close.
- An alert pop-up will appear. In the pop-up, choose whether to copy the event based on the "Weekday" (Monday to Monday) or the "Post Period Day #" (3rd day to 3rd day).
- When finished, click Copy.
Note: In the summary screen, when the list of events includes Location Inventory Schedules created by a corporate user in Enterprise Manager, the notation "(Corporate)" will appear as part of the "Type" label for each of these events. Net-Chef users will be allowed to copy a corporately scheduled event.
