Recent Safe Logs

Safe Logs allow users to manage the movement of cash within their store so that they can make sure they always have enough petty cash to make change, and so they can track for loss prevention. The Recent Safe Logs screen displays existing Safe Log entries and allows users to create new ones.

Screen Controls

Begin Date/End Date: Calendar widgets; can select any dates. Click Retrieve to view existing Safe Log entries for the selected date range.

Funnel (Filter): Columns - Safe, User, Notes; Check box - "Only Display Safe Logs Where Expected Does Not Equal Actual"

Printer (Export): PDF, Excel, CSV formats

+ (New Safe Log): Creates a new Safe Log entry

X (Close): Exits the screen and returns to the Dashboard

 

Screen Columns

To see a list of the screen columns, click ClosedHERE.

  • Safe – The name of the Safe or Drawer.
  • User – The User ID of the user who created the entry.
  • Date & Time – The date & time the entry was created.
  • Expected – The total amount expected to be in the safe.
  • Actual – The total amount actually counted in the safe.
  • Notes – Displays any notes entered by the user.

Create a Safe Log entry

  1. To create a new entry, click the Plus (Add) icon.
  2. In the Safe Log Details section:
  1. From the Select Safe drop-down, choose the desired Safe.
  2. Choose whether to Count By Bills or Totals.
  3. Enter any relevant Notes as needed.
  1. In the Safe Totals section:
  1. Click the Plus (Add) icon to add a new currency row.
  2. From the Currency drop-down, choose the relevant currency. {Note}Closed: Currently, we support 'USD', 'CAD', 'GBP', 'EUR', 'AUD', 'AED', and 'SAR'.
  3. From the Denomination drop-down, choose the bill's denomination.
  4. Depending on your selection in Step 2b, enter the Qty or Total for this denomination.
  5. To save this row, select the Check icon.
  1. Repeat Steps 3a-3e for each currency and denomination as needed. If necessary, use the Trash Can (Delete) icon to delete a currency row.
  2. When ready, click the Disk (Save) icon to save all of your entries.

 

 

Note: In the summary screen, a row will be highlighted in red if the Actual varies (up or down) from the Expected in excess of the "Note Variance" value defined for this Safe in Enterprise Manager.
