Daily Prep - Additional Recipe Settings

Depending on business needs, corporate users may also wish to configure some of the following recipe setup the enhance the use of Daily Prep:

• On the Component tab: identify "Pre-Production" recipe components and select the appropriate "Special Instructions".
• On the Prep Notes tab: enter recipe preparation and plating instructions, and include a recipe image.
• On the Scaling tab: modify default component "Scale Factors" (1.00) for components for which quantities should not increase or decrease in direct proportion from the recipe’s default batch size.
• On the Recipe tab: enter an “Effective Date” and/or “Expiration Date”, if the recipe should only be available for Daily Prep for a limited time.
• On the Production tab:

• Define "Minimum Batch" and "Maximum Batch" sizes and batch "Rounding Rules".
• Define recipe "Shelf Life" in 'Days', 'Hours', or 'Minutes'.
• Enter a “Prep Time” for a recipe in 'Days', 'Hours', or 'Minutes', if Recommended Production for Prep quantities need to be calculated in a timely manner.
• If the company includes any lot-tracking locations, check the "Lot Tracking" box if the recipe requires lot numbers.
