Projected Consumption

When a user clicks the Projected Consumption button, the application will open a pop-up window in which the user can view a report displaying projected consumption per day and daypart for eligible Daily Prep recipes.  (This button is not available in aggregating locations and/or if Projected Consumption values are being imported.)

The application will use the historical Menu Mix sales, Buffet Consumption data, and/or Menu Planner data (all as applicable) for the recipes to calculate the projected consumption values. If the transaction includes linked catering orders, these will be factored in as well.

Notes: When a Daily Prep transaction only includes linked Catering Orders, it will ignore the following parameters when calculating Projected Consumption: "Projected Consumption includes Min Par", "Include Min Par when Proj Cons > 0", and "Set Sugg. Prod. less than Min Par to Min Par".

  1. If necessary, filter the list using one or more of the following options, then click Retrieve.
  • Filter By Daypart – Filter the Projected Consumption columns down to the column(s) associated with a single Daypart.  {Note}Closed: For Menu Planner locations, this will include "All Day".
  • Filter By Prep Station – Includes all Prep Stations associated with at least one Recipe in the current Daily Prep transaction.
  • Filter By Template – Select a template to display only the recipes linked to that template.  Closed<Tip>
  • Summarize By – Defaults to 'Daypart'; if set to 'Hour', columns for each hour will be displayed in the right-hand portion of the screen, grouped by daypart.
  • Exclude Recipes with Proj. Cons. = 0 – If checked, only recipes with a Projected Consumption > 0 will be displayed.
  • Or use the Funnel (Filters) icon to Filter By Category or any of the report columns.

Note: Unless sorting by template sequence, users can click any column header to sort by the data in that column.

  1. To download and print the report, click the Printer (Export) icon.
  2. When finished, click the X (Close) icon to close the window.
