Customer Order Messages - Cruise

The Messages screen lets Corporate users create and save messages to be printed on customer orders as they are submitted. Messages can be designated for particular customers and/or departments and they will automatically print on all applicable Picklist and Invoice documents, including Duplicates. This applies to both PDF and Excel outputs.

 

Note: This screen is available only when logged into Corporate. These messages do NOT appear on the customer order screen, only on the printed order documents.

 

  1. From the Sales menu, click Messages.
  2. The message list can be filtered by Begin Date and/or End Date, and to display ‘Active’ (default), ‘Inactive’, or ‘All’ messages. The user can check the box in the header of the Active column to activate or deactivate all messages.
  3. Click the Plus (Create Message) icon to create a new message or click a Message Name hyperlink to open and edit an existing message
  4. Enter/edit the Message Name, Begin Date and End Date for the message.
  5. Check the Active box to activate or deactivate a message,
  6. Enter the Message Text (up to 2000 characters).  Pressing the "Enter" key will insert a hard line break.
  7. On the Customer tab, select the customer(s) that should see this message on their orders. To select a customer, check the box for a customerin the "Available Customers" list, then click the < arrow to move it to the "Selected Customers" list. If applicable, click the << button to add all customers.  This will apply to all orders for this customer, regardless of the user placing the order.
  8. On the Departments tab, select the department(s) whose orders should have messages printed on them. check the box for a user in the "Available Departments" list, then click the < arrow to move it to the "Selected Departments" list. If applicable, click the << button to add all departments.  This will apply to all orders placed for this department, regardless of the customer receiving the order.
  9. To print a report of the message details, click Print
  10. When finished, click Save to close the Message Details window.
  11. To print a report of all of the displayed messages, click the Printer (Export) icon.
  12. Click Cancel to close the Messages pop-up.
