Upload/Download Files - Overview

The Net-Chef Upload/Download Files screen is used to save documents to Net-Chef and to view or download files that have been saved there. "Upload" refers to saving an existing file to Net-Chef so that other users can access it. "Download" refers to retrieving a file from Net-Chef so that it can be saved to the local PC.

This tool lets managers post company documents - such as time off requests or operating procedures - to a place where all Net-Chef users can get to them easily. If necessary, the User Group settings in Enterprise Manager can be set so that only certain users have the ability to upload files or delete uploaded files; other users can be granted access only for viewing and downloading.

Uploaded files are available to authorized users at ALL locations. Deleting a file makes it unavailable at all locations.
