Daily News - Add a Message

Net-Chef lets users create messages that will be displayed on the Net-Chef Log In screen, either for Net-Chef users at all locations or just at the current location. Messages can be edited and reused, deactivated, or deleted.

Note: This screen is not available for Cruise Lines.

From the Administration menu, click Manage Daily News.
Click the Plus (Add) icon.
Enter the Start Date and End Date for the message.
From the drop-down, Select an Icon to accompany the message.
For the Daily New Type, choose one of the following:

Corporate News – This message will appear to users at all locations.
Location News – This message will appear to users at the current location only.

Note: Franchisees will see a "Select Locations" button, since they will only be able to add messages for their own locations.

Enter a Headline.
In the Edit Text box, enter the text for the message.
Click Preview to view the message in the preview area before saving.
When ready, click the Disk (Save) icon.
When finished, click the X (Close) icon to exit the screen.

Note: When the end date for the message has passed, it will be considered "expired" but will not be removed from the system. Therefore, if one needs to be re-used later, a user can just reset the end date.
