Reconcile a Transfer

Location Transfers (when inventory is sent from one location to another) need to be reconciled at the receiving location in order to finalize the transfer of inventory. Location Transfers can only be edited at the source location, so if quantity changes are needed, you must contact the sending location to request them.

For Storage Transfers and Customer Transfers (when inventory is moved around within the same location), the reconcile screen opens automatically when the transaction is saved so that the transfer can be completed in one step.

Note: If you are completing a Storage or Customer Transfer, skip ahead to Step 4.

From the Inventory Menu, select Recent Location Transfers. This screen lists all of the recent transfers.
Use the filter tools to filter the transaction list if necessary. Find the desired transfer, then click Reconcile.
The Reconcile Date defaults to the current date. If you are reconciling a Location Transfer that was received on a previous date, change this to the appropriate date.
Confirm the Receiving Storage Location for each product; select the appropriate storage from the drop-down when necessary.

Default Storage – This column will contain an asterisk for each product line on the order for which the selected storage location is the default (Location Product) storage location.
Storage in Use – This column will contain an asterisk for each product line on the order where the selected storage location already contains a product other than the one being received on that line or when that storage location has been selected for a different product in the current order.

When finished, click Reconcile.
