Create a Recipe Adjustment
A Recipe Adjustment can be used to adjust recipes that are produced on site in anticipation of sales demand but are not processed via Net-Chef Daily Prep – and therefore don’t exist as inventory items. When leftovers of these recipes are discarded, users can record the discarding (i.e. depletion) of the components of these recipes from the appropriate storage locations. Recipe Adjustments cannot be edited, so check them carefully before saving.
- From the Inventory menu, click Create Recipe Adjustment.
- If necessary, edit the Adjustment Date.
- Select a Daypart for the adjustment (optional).
- Enter an Adjustment Memo to provide details for the purpose of the adjustment (optional).
- If necessary, use the Funnel (Filters) icon to apply filters prior to retrieving the recipe list.
- When ready, click Retrieve to populate the screen. All products matching the search criteria will be displayed. (See "Recipe Availability for Recipe Adjustments" for details on which recipes are eligible.)
Note: Click any column header to sort by the data in that column.
- When ready, click Retrieve to populate the screen. All recipes matching the search criteria will be displayed.
- To open a pop-up window displaying the Recipe Details for that recipe, click a Recipe Name hyperlink. (See "Recipe Details" for information about this pop-up.)
- Enter the Adjustment Quantity for each recipe. This must be a positive quantity.
- Select the Recipe Unit that should be adjusted. This will default to the Portion unit; if the Batch unit is different, this can also be selected. The application will calculate component depletion quantities accordingly. (If the Portion Unit and Batch Unit are both the same, this field will be disabled.)
- Select
a Qualitative Judgment to indicate
the reason for the adjustment. (This field will be highlighted in red to indicate that it's required.)
<Pro Tip>
- To proceed, click Add Selected Recipes. The screen will be filtered to display only recipes with an Adjustment Quantity and a Qualitative Judgment, and screen header will display the controls required to complete the transaction.
- When ready, click Decrement Selected Recipes. The screen will refresh to display the component details.
Note: The Adjustment Quantity will be displayed in red text and highlighted yellow if it is > the On Hand quantity.
- If necessary, to adjust out a smaller or larger batch, modify the Recipe Quantity and click out of the field to update the "Adjustment Quantity" of the component products.
- When ready, click Save. A confirmation message will be displayed, giving users the option of viewing a printable version of the transaction. If not, skip to step 17.
- To do this, click View Printable Adjustment. To download and print a copy of the transaction, click the Printer (Export) icon.
- When finished, click the Close button.
Note: If a Recipe Adjustment recipe includes a component that has never been active at the location, the component will become a Location Product once the transaction is complete.
