Labor Rule Compliance

This report displays a list of jurisdictions within the application where Labor Rules might need to be configured. The suggestions will be customer-specific, in that we will only suggest rules for jurisdictions where one of more locations exist.  {Franchise Note}Closed: The report only displays data for Jurisdictions/Locations in the franchise entity the user is currently logged in to.

Report Controls

Report Columns:

Click any column header to sort by the data in that column.

  • Jurisdiction Name – The name of a jurisdiction associated with at least one active location.
  • Jurisdiction Type – Will display either 'City', 'State/Province' , or 'Country'.
  • Rule Type – The type of labor rule that may need to be configured. Options include: Wage Regulations, Clopening, Good Faith Estimates, Schedule Change, Reporting Pay, Minimum Paid Shift, Split Shift, Spread of Hours, Scheduling Restriction, Meal Period, Paid Break, Overtime, and Minor Laws
  • Compliance Type – This indicates the level of attention recommended. Types include:  {Note}Closed: To determine the type, the report checks the rules currently configured in Enterprise Manager and compares them to a list of existing and known upcoming labor laws .
  • No Rules Configured – When no current or future Labor Rules are configured for the jurisdiction and there is a recommendation.
  • Needs Review – When there is a difference between the configured rules and the known rules for a jurisdiction's current Effective Date.
  • Upcoming Change – When there is a difference between the configured rules and the known rules for a jurisdiction's future Effective Date.
  • No Suggestions – When there is no difference between the configured rules and the known rules for a jurisdiction's current or future Effective Date.
  • Jurisdiction not Recognized – When a City, State/Province or Country name associated with at least one active location cannot be matched to any known Labor Rules. This would be due to the jurisdiction not having any defined rules or because the matching logic could not find the jurisdiction.
  • Example 1: Kennebunkport, Maine does not have a defined minimum wage in the City Labor Rules.
  • Example 2: Boston, Massachusetts is spelled as "BSTN".
  • # of Locations – The number of active Locations associated with the jurisdiction.
