Currency Formats

The Currency Formats screen lists the names and formatting rules for currencies available for use in the system. See Currency Exchange for more information on how currencies and exchange rates are applied throughout Enterprise Manager.

The ability to edit currency information and add currencies to the list is controlled by the following settings:

  • The "Edit Currency Table" purchasing preference determines whether or not saved currency records can be edited.
  • The "Add/Save" control under Setup | User Groups | Currency Formats determines whether or not a user can add a currency to the list.

Note: When a new currency is added to the table, it will not appear on the Currency Ratios screen until it has been selected as base currency for a vendor or market.

  1. Under the General menu, click Currency Formats.
  2. Click the Plus (Add) icon to create a new currency, or click on the appropriate row to modify an existing one.
  3. Enter the Code and Currency Name.
  4. Select a Separator (Comma or Period) from the drop-down.
  5. Enter the number of Decimals (# of places).
  6. Enter a Symbol, if applicable. (If there is no specific symbol, the Code can be repeated here if desired.)
  7. When finished, click the Disk (Save) icon.
  8. To download and print these entries, click the Printer (Export) icon and select the desired options.
