Add or Edit Nutrition Details
The Nutrition Details screen allows users to view the nutritional breakdown of all nutrition products, and will allow authorized users to add and edit nutritional breakdown for custom nutrition products.
- Under the Products menu, click Nutrition.
- To add a custom nutrition product record, click the Plus (Add) icon. Te edit an existing record, click the Nutrition Product link.
- On the Nutrition tab, enter the following:
- Item Number – The number for this custom nutrition product record.
- Nutrition Product – The description for this custom nutrition product record.
- Active – This box will be checked by default; it can be deselected to deactivate this nutrition product. This indicates whether the nutrition record is available for associating with new company products and recipes, but does not affect existing links.
- USDA – This denotes products contained in the USDA database; this box cannot be checked for custom nutrition products and cannot be cleared for USDA products.
- Nutrition per 100 grams – The nutritional value per 100 grams of this product for each nutrient listed.
- Click the Gram Conversions tab and proceed as follows:
- Clickthe Plus (Add) ico.
- Enter the Quantity and Description to indicate the unit of measure to which the nutritional information entered on the previous tab will be linked.
- Enter the number of Grams contained in the amount of the product described in Step b.
- Repeat Steps a-c for additional product measurements as necessary.
Note: If a product is linked to one or more Concepts, it will only be available if the current application user (at corporate) or location (non-corporate) is linked to one or more of the same Concepts. If a product is not linked to any Concepts, it will be visible to all users/locations. See "Concepts" for more information
- To link this nutrition record to one or more Company Products, click on this tab and proceed as follows:
- click the Plus (Add) icon.
- Click to select the appropriate product(s) from the list on the right. To select more than one, press and hold the CTRL key when clicking. If necessary, use the Funnel (Filters) icon to filter the list.
- Click the [<] (Add) button to add the selected option(s) or click the [<<] (Add All) button to add them all.
- When finished, click the (X) (Close) or (>) (Collapse) button in the selection panel to close/collapse it.
If you collapse the panel, you can use the (<) (Expand) button to reopen it.
Note: If a nutrition record is associated with a company product on this tab, it will create an audit record that can be viewed on the Audit tab of the Company Product Details screen.
- To download and print these entries, click the Printer (Export) icon and select the desired options.
- When finished, click the Disk (Save) icon, then click the X (Close) icon to return to the summary screen.
