Posting – Related Setup

The following Location settings work together to determine the date/time when the location can post the current period:

• Time Zone – The application will use this setting to adjust the system date/time from the server to reflect the local current date/time.

• The adjusted current date/time will be compared to the selected "Earliest Post Date/Time based on" setting to determine when the location can post.

• Earliest Post Date/Time based on – This setting determines whether posting is allowed to occur after the 'End of Business Day' (default) or after 'Closing Time'.

• Closing Time – If this setting is selected, the application will refer to the "Hours of Operation" to determine when the location can post.
• End of Business Day – If this setting is selected, the application will refer to the "Business Day Begins at" setting to determine when the location can post.

• Hours of Operation – This setting determines whether posting is allowed after the 'Closing Time (Cleanup)' or 'Closing Time', but before the end of the Business Day.

• Closing Time (Cleanup)

• If this setting is > '00:00', the location will be allowed to post after this time on the current date.
• If this setting = '00:00', the location will refer to the "Closing Time" setting.

• Closing Time (Cleanup)

• If this setting is > '00:00', the location will be allowed to post after this time on the current date.
• If this setting = '00:00', the location will refer to the "Business Day Begins at" setting.

• Business Day begins at – This setting determines whether posting is allowed just after midnight at the end of the current date (into the next day) or after a specified time on the next day.

• If this setting = '00:00', the location will be allowed to post just after midnight.
• If this setting is > '00:00', the location will be allowed to post after this time on the next day.

 

Note: This process does not apply to 'Cruise Line' companies.
