Auto-Generate Sales Forecasts

Related Setup:

For sales forecasts to be generated automatically, the following settings must be enabled on the Recommended Order tab of the Location Details screen in Enterprise Manager:

1. Auto-Generate Sales Forecast – When checked, the system will automatically generate the Forecasted Sales data for each week.
2. Dashboard task ___ days before week begin date – This value will be used to determine when the Forecasted Sales will be auto-generated.  Example: Set this to '9'.
3. Default based on – This setting will be used to determine which values will be used to populate Forecasted Sales.  Example: Set this to 'Projected'.

 

How It Works:

• Based on the examples noted above, the Sales Forecast for Week Ending 8/21/2018 will be auto-generated on 8/6/2018 (9 days before 8/15, which is the first day of the week).
• The Total Forecasted Sales (Guests/Checks) for each day of the week will automatically be populated with each day’s "Projected" values.
• In the Sales Forecasting summary screen, the "Reviewed" status for the period will be set to ‘Y’ automatically.
