Dashboard - Key Performance Indicators

The Key Performance Indicators tab allows corporate users to define the list of Performance Metrics that will be visible on the Dashboard by default, and those that will be available for selection by users with access to the "Select Performance Metrics" button.

  1. Under the Corporate menu, click Dashboard Setup.
  2. Click the Key Performance Indicators tab, if necessary.
  3. In the Seq. column, each KPI has a pre-defined sequence number that determines the order in which it will appear on the Dashboard (and in the "Select Performance Metrics" pop-up window). To re-position a specific KPI within the list, enter a decimal sequence number that falls between the numbers of two other metrics, then click the column header to re-order the list.
  4. Check one or more of the following boxes to define whether each KPI will be available and/or required for store-level and/or "Consolidated Dashboard" Net-Chef users.
  • In Store Required — This will make the KPI required for store-level users; it cannot be de-selected in the "Select Performance Metrics" pop-up. If this box is checked, the application will automatically check the "In Store Access" box.
  • In Store Access — This will make the KPI available to store-level users; this can be de-selected in the "Select Performance Metrics" pop-up. If this check box is cleared, the application will automatically clear the "In Store Required" check box.
  • Above Store Required — This will make the KPI required to "consolidated" users; it cannot be de-selected in the "Select Performance Metrics" pop-up. If this box is checked, the application will automatically check the "Above Store Access" box.
  • Above Store Access — This will make the KPI available to "consolidated" users; this can be de-selected in the "Select Performance Metrics" pop-up. If this check box is cleared, the application will automatically clear the "Above Store Required" check box.

Note: For each of these columns, the user can check the "Select All" box to enable or disable all of the metrics in that column. The column filters default to 'All'. These can be set to 'Yes' to show only enabled metrics or to 'No' to show only disabled metrics.

If a selected KPI is dependent on one or more other KPIs, the application will require that all KPIs required to calculate the dependent KPI also be selected.  Example: If "Net Sales to Last Week" (#3) is selected for 'In Store Access', the application must verify that both "Actual Net Sales" (#1) and "Last Week Actual Net Sales" (#2) are also selected for 'In Store Access'.  Click HERE to see a list of KPI dependencies.

  2. To download and print these settings, click the Printer (Export) icon and select the desired options.
  3. When finished, click the X (Close) icon to exit the screen.
