Dayparts
The Daypart screen allows a user to divide the business day into sections. Dayparts entered here appear in drop-down lists on other screens. For example, a Daypart can be selected when creating Daily Prep or an Inventory or Recipe Adjustment. This allows the system to specify the part of the day during which Consumption occurs, which factors into the Recommended Order and Recommended Prep calculations. They can also be used when entering Sales Forecasts.
- Under the General menu, select Daypart.
- Click the Plus (Add) icon.
- Enter the Code and the Daypart Name.
- Enter the Begin Time and the End Time for the daypart, using 24-hour format.
The "Calculate" button on the "Sales" tab of the Enter Sales Transactions screen in Net-Chef works in conjunction with Dayparts setup in Enterprise Manager. In order for things to calculate correctly, the following codes must be included:
- 100 — this corresponds to the morning register reading.
- 200 — this corresponds to the mid-day register reading.
- 300 — this corresponds to the ending register reading.
- When finished, click the Disk (Save) icon to save your changes.
If necessary, you can click on a row and click the Trash Can (Delete) icon to remove it.
