GL Groupings

Profit and Loss (P&L) groupings and substructures are defined in the GL Groupings screen. The P&L Substructure column is pre-populated with 25 general entries that define operating expenses, as seen on the P&L statement of each location. Each P&L substructure must be linked to a P&L grouping. P&L groupings encompass a broader range of sales categories. (Ex. sales, cost of goods sold and expenses.) Finally, these GL groupings are attached to General Ledger categories. (See "General Ledger" for more information.) The information entered in these two columns allows the corporate user to organize the various entries on the Net-Chef Profit & Loss and Cost Analysis reports.
