Calculating Total Nutritional Values

For each nutritional element, sum the nutritional value of all components to determine the total nutrition for the batch. If the recipe includes one or more sub-recipes, the nutritional value for the sub-recipe components must be summed and then adjusted to account for how much of that recipe was used in the main recipe.

In this example, the Total Calories per Batch is calculated for the Garlic Sauce (in Cell N23) and then adjusted for the amount used in the Garlic Clams.

This is done by converting the number of calories in a Batch of Garlic Sauce to the number of calories in the Recipe Unit used in the Garlic Clams (OZ FL, 48 in 1 Batch) and multiplying that by the Quantity of Garlic Sauce (3 OZ FL) used in the Garlic Clams.

  • Calories Used (Garlic Sauce): ((4057.64 ÷ 48) x 3 = 253.60

Then the total calories in the Garlic Sauce (Cell O13) is added to those in each of the remaining components to determine the total calories in the Garlic Clams (Cell O25).
