User Group Controls

The User Groups screen lists each screen name and control in alphabetical order. Many screens have multiple control options for which security can be granted. For example, within the purchasing screens, a user can be granted permission to reconcile vendor orders but not edit certain data in the transactions.

The default setting for each new control is almost always unchecked. New controls added for new features typically must be turned on for the appropriate user groups in order for those users to access the new features. The following pages explain which part of the application is affected by each user group control, and in what way.

Note: All but three of the controls that affect Net-Chef users are preceded by "NC–".  Those controls ("Change Password", "Forgot Password", and "Screen Configuration") affect Net-Chef AND Enterprise Manager; they are listed below in red text.

 


Anomaly

Screen Location: General > Anomaly

  • Add/Delete/Save – Add or delete an anomaly description, make and save changes to the list.
  • View – Access the screen in view–only mode.

 

Application Usage

Screen Location: Security > Application Usage (EM Web, Non-Cruise only)

  • View – Enables this screen under the Security menu.

 

Application Users

Screen Location: Security > Application Users

  • AD Sync – Enables the AD Sync button on the Application Users summary screen.
  • Add/Delete/Save – Add or delete a user record, make and save changes to the Application Users screen.
  • API Tokens – Allows users to access this tab to add, regenerate, & revoke API tokens.
  • Edit Password – Edit the Password field and select/deselect the "New Hire" check box.
  • Link to all Locations – Automatically links users to all active locations.
  • Link to all Markets – Automatically links users to all markets.
  • Report – Display and/or print a report that includes details of the entities to which each user is linked, as configured on the various tabs in the Application Users screen.
  • Unlock User Account – Deselect the "Locked" check box.
  • View – Access the screen in view–only mode.

 

Application Users – Concepts

Screen Location: Security > Application Users (EM Web, Non-Cruise only)

  • Add/Delete – Add or delete concepts from an application user record.

 

Attestation Clauses

Screen Location: Labor > Attestation Clauses

  • Add/Delete/Save – Add or delete an Attestation Clause, make and save changes to existing clauses.
  • View – Access the screen in view–only mode.

 

Bid Analysis

Screen Location: Purchasing > Bid Analysis

  • Clear All, Clear Page – Clear bid price selections for the entire bid sheet (End All Contracts) or for each product on the page (End Page Contracts).
  • Find – Find the best price for each product by color–coding the three lowest bids.
  • Save – Save bid price selections, thus establishing contracts.
  • Select All Best, Select Page Best – Select (for contracting) the lowest bid price for each product on the entire bid sheet (Contract All Best) or for each product on the page (Contract Page Best).

 

Bid Import

Screen Location: Purchasing > Import and Process Bids

  • Import – Enables this button on the Bid Processing screen and allows users to Import a text or Excel bid file; Excel file must be .xls format.

 

Bid Processing

Screen Location: Purchasing > Import and Process Bids

  • Edit/Update/Save – Enables this option on the menu and allows users to process an imported bid file, make and save changes, update bid and contract information.

 

Bid Sheet

Screen Location: Purchasing > Bid Sheet

  • Create Bid Sheet – Enables the "Create Bid Sheet" button.
  • Delete Bid Sheet – Enables the "Delete Bid Sheet" button.
  • Modify Bid Sheet – Allows users to modify the Bid Sheet tab.
  • Submit – Submit a bid sheet to the vendor(s).

This will also allow users to finalize a Daily Prep transaction with negative quantities, even when this makes a recipe's Available Quantity fall below 0.00.

  • Refresh POS Data – Allows users to refresh the Labor Actuals with the latest Connex POS data.
